Pan-European Shopping Centre Executive Survey
The Pan-European Shopping Centre Executive Survey is a confidential monthly survey that monitors shopping centre executives' opinions about the current condition and future direction of four critical indicators of industry health and shopping centre valuation: sales, footfall, rents and occupancy. The results are reported by ICSC in index format and include an overall headline index and a temporal sub-index (current conditions and expectations for six months from now).
European Shopping Centre Definitions
A shopping centre is defined as a group of retail and other commercial establishments that is planned, developed, owned and managed as a single property, typically with on-site parking provided. The centre's size and orientation are generally determined by the market characteristics of the catchment area served by the centre.
The international standard for European shopping centres is outlined here.
